Editing a Contact
A contact that has already been configured, can be edited later.
Proceed as follows:
Using COMfortel Set to Edit a Contact
1.
Open the page Telephone book and click the Edit tab.
2.
Start of the list: Jumps to the first contact in the telephone book.
Previous contact: Jumps to the previous contact in the telephone book.
Next contact: Jumps to the next contact in the telephone book.
End of the list: Jumps to the last contact in the telephone book.
Note:
Alternatively, you can double-click a phone number for the contact to be edited directly on the page Telephone book (Telephone book tab). After this, the menu for editing the contacting question opens automatically.
Only contacts configured on the telephone can be edited or deleted. The internal numbers as well as the telephone book/short-code numbers on the PBX can only be changed using the configuration manager on the PBX.

Note: If your telephone has an SD card containing your own ringtones, click to add ringtones to the Ringtone list field. Your ringtones on the SD card are read out and added to the list field.

No special TAM: When the contact calls, the call acceptance and announcement of the corresponding call type are used. The settings for this are configured under Answering machine > Call acceptance.
Announcement and recording: The announcement selected for the contact is played back. After this, the caller can leave a message.
Only announcement: The announcement selected for the contact is played back; however, the caller can leave no message.
No call acceptance: A call from the contact is not accepted by the answering machine.
Important: A change in call acceptance/an announcement made here is only taken into account if under Answering machine > Call acceptance for the call type From contact the option as in contact defined has been selected.

In the TAM call acceptance list field, if you have one of the options Only announcement or Announcement and recording, select the announcement in the Announcement list field that will be used when accepting a call from the corresponding contact.
Note: If your telephone has an SD card on which your own announcements are saved, click to add announcements to the Announcement list field. Your announcements on the SD card are read out and added to the list field.

In the Kind list field, select one of the following options:
business: Defines the phone number to be entered as a business number.
mobile (business): Defines the phone number to be entered as a business mobile number.
private: Defines the phone number to be entered as a private number.
mobile (private): Defines the phone number to be entered as a private mobile number.
call macro: Allows a macro to be entered.
comment: Allows a comment to be entered.
fax: Defines the phone number to be entered as a fax number.
user-specified: Defines the phone number to be entered as a user-defined number.
7.
In the Type list field, select one of the following options:
internally: Defines the phone number to be entered as an internal number.
externally: Defines the phone number to be entered as an external number.

In the Telephone no entry field, enter the phone number.
Using the Telephone to Edit a Contact

Press the telephone book key.

Important: If you must prefix e.g. an exchange line access number when entering/selecting a phone number, depends on the exchange line request (automatic, direct exchange line telephone, internal telephone) that was configured in the PBX (see Advanced Information of the PBX).
A change in call acceptance/an announcement made here is only taken into account if under answer.machine > TAM functions > TAM call accept for the call type From contact the option From contact has been selected.
Note: When entering multiple numbers or call macros, the last entry configured or changed is used as the default number.
