Downgrading the Telephone
It is possible to reset the telephone to a previous firmware version. In some cases, this means that the Android version is also resetted. The reset to the previous Android version actually goes together with the change of the firmware version but nevertheless, differs from the downgrading of only the firmware version. Both variants are described in the following.
Requirements:
•
corresponding firmware file (*.rom)
1.
Create a data Backup (see chapter Service and Maintenance > Backup and Reset > Creating a Backup).
2.
Make a manual update (see chapter Service and Maintenance > Update and Provisioning > Triggering a Manual Update).
After the upload of the firmware file, first the COMfortel logo and then the Android logo appears on the Display.
Important:
If you want to change the firmware version without the changing of the Android version, wait until the setup assistant starts und then configure the telephone. Otherwise, if you also want to change the Android version, proceed as follows.
3.
Disconnect the device from the power supply.
4.
Press the third function key from above and the third function key from below, hold them and reconnect the device with the power supply.
The LEDs of the second function key from above and from below start to flash.
5.
Release the function keys as soon as the LEDs change the flashing rhythm.
After a short time, the Setup assistant opens.
6.
Put the telephone into operation (see the Instructions).
