Connecting a Device for Alarm Functions
Warning: Power surges, which can occur during electrical storms, can cause life-threatening electric shocks or damage or destroy the PBX.
• Do not open an already connected PBX during an electrical storm. Also avoid disconnecting and connecting electrical lines during an electrical storm.
Warning: The alarm functions of the PBX do not comply with the safety-related requirements regarding alarm systems for the protection of life and limb.
• Only use the PBX for simple monitoring tasks without safety-related requirements.
Requirements:
• Installation cable (e. g. J-Y(St)Y 2x2x0.6) with the following characteristics:
-At least two wires
-Unscreened; however: screened for unfavourable conditions, for example, near a strong transmitter or an electrical power line
1.Lay the lines.
2.Connect the But4/Klin4 terminal, for example, to the alarm contact.
3.Connect the +12Volt terminal, for example, to the alarm contact.
Further steps:
• To finish commissioning, you need to configure the COMmander 2TMS (R) module in the Configuration Manager, set up the alarm and set up the corresponding switch input.
