Connecting a Device for Alarm Functions
*Warning: Power surges, which can occur during electrical storms, can cause life-threatening electric shocks or damage or destroy the PBX.
Do not open an already connected PBX during an electrical storm. Also avoid disconnecting and connecting electrical lines during an electrical storm.
*Warning: The alarm functions of the PBX do not comply with the safety-related requirements regarding alarm systems for the protection of life and limb.
Only use the PBX for simple monitoring tasks without safety-related requirements.
Requirements:
Installation cable (e. g. J-Y(St)Y 2x2x0.6) with the following characteristics:
At least two wires
Unscreened; however: screened for unfavourable conditions, for example, near a strong transmitter or an electrical power line
1.Lay the lines.
2.Connect the But4/Klin4 terminal, for example, to the alarm contact.
3.Connect the +12Volt terminal, for example, to the alarm contact.


Further steps:
To finish commissioning, you need to configure the COMmander 2TMS (R) module in the Configuration Manager, set up the alarm and set up the corresponding switch input.
