Online name search
The online name search lets you accept names to put with existing phone numbers via a service provider on the Internet.
If a phone number is transmitted during an incoming call, the entries in the phone books (PBX, system phone) are checked and, if necessary, an associated name is displayed and saved in the call data list.
If the phone number transmitted is not found in the phone books, the function attempts an online name search of the name for the phone number on a server on the Internet that offers a search service. If the server is accessible and the desired data is stored there, this information is transferred to the phone. The name is shown on the display of a system phone (optional, see phone manual) and saved in the call data list column External partner.
External partner > : Here, the name and, if applicable, the address can be subsequently added to the call record via the online name search function and the name can be checked or updated.
External name > : Here, the call number and name of the external call partner can be subsequently transferred to the telephone book of the PBX
