Connecting a Door Bell Button
Warning: Power surges, which can occur during electrical storms, can cause life-threatening electric shocks or damage or destroy the PBX.
•Do not open an already connected PBX during an electrical storm. Also avoid disconnecting and connecting electrical lines during an electrical storm.
Requirements:
•Installation cable (e. g. J-Y(St)Y 2x2x0.6) with the following characteristics:
−At least five wires (for four door bell buttons)
−Unscreened; however: screened for unfavourable conditions, for example, near a strong transmitter or an electrical power line
1.Lay the line.
2.Connect the But1/Klin1 terminal to the contact of the first door bell button (e. g. labelled 1). 3.Connect the But2/Klin2 terminal to the contact of the second door bell button (e. g. labelled 2). 4.Connect the But3/Klin3 terminal to the contact of the third door bell button (e. g. labelled 3). 5.Connect the But4/Klin4 terminal to the contact of the forth door bell button (e. g. labelled 4). 6.Connect the +12Volt terminal to the joint contact of the door bell buttons (e. g. labelled ).
Further steps:
•To finish commissioning, you need to configure the COMmander 2TMS (R) module in the Configuration Manager and set up the corresponding door terminal.
