Start of Call (Outgoing Calls)
Proceed as follows:
• Separately for analogue ports
• Using the Configuration Manager (page Public switched tel. networks > Analogue > Phone numbers > Configure)
Requirements:
• External analogue port (optional, see Technical Data in the Instructions)
ANALOGUE CONNECTION
Select the analogue connection to be displayed/configured.
Waiting time after the last dialled digit (1-30 seconds)
Note: This setting is only relevant when the setting send # is enabled.The waiting time serves for post-dialling digits before the PBX recognises that dialling has been finished and sends # to the exchange line. # signalises the exchange line that the number sequence is completed.Time measurement restarts after the entry of each digit. The possibilty of post-dialling digits is not applicable if the PBX has recognized that the number sequence is already completed and automatically sends # to the exchange line.
Note: Select as short a time as possible, because the PBX does not forward the last number to the public exchange until the specified time has passed. Note: Approximately three seconds is the default value for manual inputs. Note: You can always press # (the hash key) when you finish dialling the phone number to keep the waiting time between dialling the last number and the connection being set up to a minimum. The PBX recognises this character as the end of the phone number.Transmit #
The PBX transmits the # (hash key) character, appended to the number you are dialling, used to signal that you have finished, to the public exchange.
Busy signal detection
The PBX recognises the busy signal sent by the public exchange (recommended setting).
This is needed to allow the CCBS (callback when busy) function to be enabled using the PBX's internal phones.
Max. hold time until audio connection established (0-30 seconds)
The time to wait until the audio connection is created specifies the maximum time, in seconds, that the PBX will wait for the connection information sent by the public exchange. If the PBX does not receive a busy signal, a continuous tone or a polarity reversal of the line after this time has passed, it creates the connection.
The PBX also creates the connection if it detects a call tone, and then a voice, even before the waiting time has passed.
