Online Name Search
The online name search lets you accept names to put with existing phone numbers via a service provider on the Internet.
If a phone number is transmitted during an incoming call, the entries in the phone books (PBX, system phone) are checked and, if necessary, an associated name is displayed and saved in the call data list.
If the phone number transmitted is not found in the phone books, the function attempts an online name search of the name for the phone number on a server on the Internet that offers a search service. If the server is accessible and the desired data is stored there, this information is transferred to the phone. The name is shown on the display of a system phone (optional, see phone manual) and saved in the External partner column of the call data list.
Clicking in the External partner column of the call data list adds the name to the call data record after the fact using the online name search function. The name can also be verified and updated.
Clicking in the External name column of the call data list transfers the phone number and name of the external calling partner into the PBX phone book.
