This PBX supports the operation of the Auerswald COMfortel SoftPhone.
COMfortel SoftPhone trial licences
Trial licences with a validity period of 30 days can be activated for the COMfortel SoftPhone.
If an outgoing mail server is set up, you will receive an e-mail 2 days before the trial licences expire.
In addition, a note appears in the configuration manager.
2.Activating the voucher code.
−Administration > Activation > Activation code for extended functions > Enter activation/voucher code
3.Save.
In the table of activated functions, the trial licences appear with a note of the remaining term.
4.Set up subscribers (see Configuration).

The COMfortel SoftPhone is a multi-platform client for Windows, Android and iOS.
The COMfortel SoftPhone is provisioned via the PBX.
The registration data for the COMfortel SoftPhone can be sent to the subscriber by e-mail.
Thanks to the proxy service, the COMfortel SoftPhone is also available on the smartphone regardless of the location. No VPN connection is needed.

•enabled provisioning server (Subscriber (scr.) > IP provisioning > Settings > Provisioning server active)
•with SIPS/SRTP enabled: RTP encryption Only unencrypted for the COMfortel SoftPhone (Subscriber (scr.) > Properties > VoIP settings > RTP encryption)
•Generated provisioning file for the COMfortel SoftPhone
•Activate COMfortel SoftPhone licences
−Administration > Activation
•Activate the proxy service to use the COMfortel SoftPhone.
−Administration > VoIP configuration > Proxy server for COMfortel SoftPhones > Use proxy
•Generate provisioning file for the COMfortel Softphone
−Subscriber (scr.) > IP provisioning > File management > New
−Assign file name
−Use for device type: COMfortel SoftPhone
•Create and configure a new subscriber.
−Subscriber (scr.) > Phone numbers > New
−Add subscriber: Assign phone number
−Name: Assign name for the COMfortel SoftPhone
−Module / Port: VoIP
−Device type: COMfortel SoftPhone
−Provisioning file: provisioning file generated for the COMfortel SoftPhone.
Note: The COMfortel SoftPhone cannot be set up without assigning the provisioning file.
•Enter an e-mail address for sending the COMfortel SoftPhone registration data.
−Subscriber (scr.) > Phone numbers > Select COMfortel SoftPhone > Configure > Basic settings > E-mail address: Enter e-mail address > Send e-mail
•Install Softphone in the device.

FONtevo Support. COMfortel SoftPhone Mobile: The clients are installed via the Google Play Store or Mac App Store.
•Enter user name and password in the softphone.
Note: The password can be changed manually; the special character
& must not be used.
Note: The registration data for the COMfortel SoftPhone is sent to the subscribers by e-mail when the phone is set up, provided an e-mail address has been stored in the PBX and the sending of an e-mail has been initiated. After changing the password, the sending can be restarted afterwards:
−Subscriber (scr.) > Properties > select subscriber > Basic settings > E-mail address: Enter e-mail address > Send e-mail

The PBX supports softphones from other manufacturers (also called soft clients). These are listed as Standard VoIP phones. The functions may be restricted.
