Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC)
FMC connects mobile and landline networks. The user enables the FMC behaviour of the PBX for a subscriber via a smartphone app and is supported by it when initiating calls.
For incoming calls, the user at the smartphone receives the correct phone number of the callers. Outgoing calls via the smartphone app to an external number are analogous to Call Through calls with the difference that the called party receives the number that the callers also transmit from their office phones and not the Call Through MSN or the number of the mobile phone. When using CLIP no screening, a phone number you define can be transmitted.
An FMC call is shown as such under Call data list > Call type.
Requirements
Note: An outgoing dialling is only possible when FMC behaviour is enabled. Furthermore, the accessibility ob the smartphone via the call to the extension is given.
Note: The phone number of a smartphone can be entered and enabled only for an extension.
•Installed app on the smartphone COMfortel Mobile Business
•Provider supporting CLIP no screening (possibly with costs)
•CLIP no screening configured at the provider
•Enabled FMC behaviour (Subscriber (scr.) > Features > availability)
Procedure for outgoing calls
1.Dialling the Call Through MSN of the PBX.
2.Dialling the user PIN 6-digit PIN + * + Destination number (internal or external without exchange line access number). This is unambiguously and makes it clear that this is an FMC call.
3.The caller is identified by the number for the Multi-Path call forwarding.
4.The required data (PIN, phone number of the caller) is checked.
5.When all data match, the caller can initiate a call (e. g. via the smartphone app).
Configuration
•Switching on CF (groups) / Follow-me.
−Subscriber (scr.) > Features > Authorizations > CF CF (groups) / Follow-me
•Enabling FMC behaviour and entering destination number.
−Subscriber (scr.) > Features > availability > Multi-path call forwarding / FMC
Note: When the option
Call signalling ... (multi-path call forwarding) (setting in the app) is selected, this setting at the PBX is automatically enabled and disabled and compared with the phone number of the smartphone stored in the app.
•Enabling CLIP no screening for the account/connection.
−Public switched tel. networks > Expert configuration of the corresponding Account/connection > Configure > Call forwarding > Use Clip no screening for call forwarding
−Public switched tel. networks > Expert configuration of the corresponding Account/connection > Configure > Number presentation > Clip no screening
•Configuring settings for FMC.
