Presetting of the VoIP Channels
Proceed as follows:
• Using the Configuration Manager (page Administration > Configuration VoIP)
Requirements:
• VoIP channels (optional, see Technical Data in the Instructions)

Classique
This operating mode is basically selected after commissioning or after a firmware update and corresponds to the possibilities before updating to firmware 7.4A.
Mixte
Provides a maximisation of the provided VoIP channels with full availability of classic communication technologies.
Broadband (only COMpact 5500)
Priority is given the use of broadband codecs for the best possible VoIP call quality.
VoIP oriented (only COMpact 5500)
Priority is given to a higher number of available VoIP channels. Provides minimal support for classic communication technologies, for example for integrating fax machines or door terminals.
VoIP maximum
The operating mode with the highest possible number of available VoIP channels. No classic telephony is possible (analogue/ISDN).
Note: The actual available Canaux VoIP, codecs internes, codecs externes and Module are listed under the respective VoIP operating mode. Missing availability of a VoIP operating mode
If an operating mode cannot be selected it is because too many modules are installed. The module is dispalyed in red or grey in the module overview (page Matériel > Sélection des modules). A port assignment to this module is not possible.
Note: Furthermore, the relevant element in the VoIP module overview is highlighted in colour for the cause correction. For example, are due to a large number of detected extension modules certain operating modes not selectable, the cause of the error is indicated by a red displaying of the number under Max. nombre de modules.Adjustments for the achievement of a VoIP operating mode
An operating mode must always be changed manually. This does not happen automatically.
It could be necessary to remove one or more modules. In this case, first change the VoIP operating mode before changing the hardware configuration.
If a module has been added so that the current VoIP operating mode is not possible. no devices can be configured on this module.
Display of available channels
When displaying the possible channels, the configures VoIP operating mode is taken into account.
Example: 80 VoIP channels were unlocked but the operating mode Classique is enabled. Only the 32 VoIP channels that are possible in this operating mode are displayed.
