Obtain IP address automatically (DHCP client)
The PBX automatically receives its IP address from the DNS server.
Assigning IP address manually
Requirements:
•Disabled DHCP client
IP address
IPv4 address in the range 0 - 255 (example: 192.168.0.240).
Subnet mask
IPv4 address of the subnet mask in the range 0 - 255 (example: 255.255.255.0).
Gateway
IPv4 address of the gateway in the range 0 - 255 (example: 192.168.0.2).
Permanent IP address from the APIPA address range
The PBX can be reached via the IP address 169.254.1.240, if
•it is directly connected to an individual computer which automatically receives its IP address.
•it is connected to a router that automatically assigns IP addresses.
MAC address
Displays the specific and unique hardware address of the PBX.
Opens the IPv6 configuration.
IPv6 Mode
If IPv6 is switched on, an IP address complying with version 6 of the Internet protocol can be assigned. Thanks to the greater length of IPv6 addresses (eight blocks with four digits each, example: 3001:00FF:ABC0:0EAC:0001:0000:0000:000F), IPv6 offers a greater number of available IP addresses than version 4 of the Internet protocol (IPv4).
deactivated
Switches off the use of IPv6 addresses.
SLAAC
Automatically assigns an IPv6 address.
static
Assigns a user-defined IPv6 address.
Note: If IPv6 is deactivated for LAN1, IPv6 cannot be activated for LAN2 either. Conversely, if IPv6 is activated for LAN1, it is automatically activated for LAN2 and cannot be deactivated.
