The COMtrexx Next offers two USB ports. Only the USB port V3.0 may be used for a storage medium (external SSD storage).
To restore the factory settings in the event of problems (e.g. forgotten admin password), proceed as follows:
Important: First read the steps to be taken.
Caution: Afterwards a restart is carried out automatically. This interrupts all the connections with/to the web server, all the calls and the data services. Unsaved data is lost!
Caution: All data including that on the SSD storage medium (if present) will be deleted! If the data on the SSD storage medium (e.g. messages in the voice mail/fax system) is to be retained, remove the SSD storage medium from USB port V3.0 before inserting the USB stick into USB port V2.0.
Requirement:
•USB stick with image file for factory settings (see the following description)
1.Insert the prepared USB stick into the USB port V2.0.
The COMtrexx restarts.
The display on the device switches to 1942 and then back to the time.
2.Remove the USB stick.
Important: The USB stick is empty and must be prepared again for later use.
Requirements:
•Windows PC with Windows 10 or later
•USB stick with at least 256 Mbyte size
Important: Existing data on the USB stick is overwritten when the image file is transferred. Save any required data.
